IHI E&C Selects Intergraph SmartPlant Foundation
IHI E&C International Corporation Selects Intergraph SmartPlant Foundation and SmartPlant Materials as Corporate Standard to Fulfill its Data Management and Material Management Requirements.IHI E&C International Corporation ("IHI E&C") of Houston, Texas, a wholly owned subsidiary of IHI Corporation, has selected Intergraph SmartPlant Foundation as its standard life cycle engineering document and data management solution. IHI E&C also has chosen Intergraph SmartPlant Materials following an evaluation of its legacy materials management tool, measured against Intergraph's industry-leading materials management technology.
IHI E&C will use SmartPlant Foundation and SmartPlant Materials in the execution and delivery of its projects, including front end engineering development (FEED) studies and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects.
IHI E&C selected SmartPlant Foundation after determining that it is one of the more technically superior solutions available in the marketplace. SmartPlant Foundation's capabilities will support all of the company's requirements, including the management and implementation of engineering changes for enhanced safety, improved quality of data and increased productivity and efficiency.
Both SmartPlant Materials and SmartPlant Foundation have been adopted as corporate standard solutions by IHI E&C. The implementation of Intergraph's solutions began in April and was completed in July.
